Faith Community Health program screened 50 community members. The screening included blood pressure, blood glucose and cholesterol levels. Community professionals also provided health education and consultation to community members. A representative from Medica gave health insurance information to the people who needed the service. An eye doctor from Open Cities Community Clinic and volunteers freely provided  around 75 vision screening. The vision screening included visual acuity test, binocular vision test, spot auto-refractor test, and eye pressure test. Visual acuity test measures how well our eyes can see details. Binocular vision test evaluates how well our eyes work as a team. The spot auto-refractor test measures the power of the eye and eye pressure test screens for eye disease called glaucoma, which can lead to vision loss if not treated. We believe that community members benefited from the services and will follow up with their eye doctors to get the care they need. The church's mentoring and tutoring program coordinators also provided information regarding the services they are currently offering to community members. In this event, more than ten Community professionals participated to freely serve fellow community members. Additionally, ten teenagers and young adults participated in a supportive role at the health fair. We believe that the event inspired the young adults to get involved in community services and help their community members. The Faith Community Health program appreciated the community members involvement who made this event a success.
