The Metropolitan Council Housing and Redevelopment Authority (Metro HRA) is accepting online applications for the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program. Online applications are available 8:00 am Tuesday, February 24, 2015 through 12:00 noon on Friday, February 27, 2015. Visit www.waitlistcheck.com/MN2707 to fill out an online application 24 hours a day during this time period. Translation is available in 60 different languages. It does not matter when you submit your application during the open period, as long as it is submitted by 12:00 noon on Friday, February 27, 2015. There is no advantage to applying early.

The Metro HRA will place 2,000 applicants on the waiting list through a random drawing from all applications received. Metro HRA will award 95% of waiting list placements to applicants who live, work or attend school full-time in the Twin Cities 7 county metro area (Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott and Washington Counties). The remaining 5% of waiting list placements will be awarded to any other applicant.
